Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”   Matthew 22: 37

Through worship, we  become aware of God’s constant presence in our lives and are inspired to follow and serve Christ.  Sunday worship centers on scripture, liturgy, prayers and the celebration of the Eucharist, also known as Holy Communion.

During July and August we have one service at 9:30 a.m.. During the rest of the year there are two regularly scheduled services each Sunday.  At 8 a.m. we have a more traditional Rite I service.  At 10:30 a.m. we have a Rite II Service that uses more modern language and is less formal.

On the first Sunday of each month, both services feature prayers and the laying on of hands for all who desire healing of the body, mind or spirit.  Organ, piano and guitar music help us make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

Every Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. we have Morning Prayer and all are welcome. Communion is available by request.  If you wish to pray Morning or Evening Prayer at home here is the link to The Mission of St. Claire’s website where you will find all the Daily Offices:        www.missionstclaire.com

Throughout the year, there are additional special worship experiences such as the Taize service with the Thurmont Ministerium, Wednesday Morning Prayer, Christmas Eve services and Lenten Stations of the Cross.
